Some Properties of Generalized Higher-order Convexity

The generalized divided differences are introduced. They are applied to investigate some properties characterizing generalized higher-order convexity. Among others some support-type property is proved.

Asymptotics of Some Classes of Higher-Order Difference Equations

We present some methods for finding asymptotics of some classes of nonlinear higherorder difference equations. Among others, we confirm a conjecture posed by S. Stević (2005). Monotonous solutions of the equation yn = A + (yn−k/ ∑m j=1βj yn−qj ) p , n ∈ N0, where p,A∈ (0,∞), k,m∈N, qj , j ∈ {1, . . . ,m}, are natural numbers such that q1 < q2 < ··· < qm, βj ∈ (0,+∞), j ∈ {1, . . . ,m}, ∑m j=1βj...

Some results on value distribution of the difference operator

In this article, we consider the uniqueness of the difference monomials $f^{n}(z)f(z+c)$. Suppose that $f(z)$ and $g(z)$ are transcendental meromorphic functions with finite order and $E_k(1, f^{n}(z)f(z+c))=E_k(1, g^{n}(z)g(z+c))$. Then we prove that if one of the following holds (i) $n geq 14$ and $kgeq 3$, (ii) $n geq 16$ and $k=2$, (iii) $n geq 22$ and $k=1$, then $f(z)equiv t_1g(z)$ or $f(...

Some recent global stability results for higher order difference equations ∗

We give a brief overview of some recent results for the global asymptotic stability of a difference equation xn+1 = f(n, xn, . . . , xn−k), n ≥ 0, assuming that the zero solution is the unique equilibrium. Different techniques are used, involving the use of new discrete inequalities, monotonicity arguments, and delay perturbation methods. For the particular case of linear autonomous difference ...

Some Identities of Generalized Higher-order Carlitz q-Bernoulli Polynomials

In this paper, we give some interesting symmetric identities of generalized higher-order Carlitz q-Bernoulli polynomials attached to χ which are derived from symmetry properties of multivariate p-adic q-integral on X.
